Jurassic Politicians should be put in the Apartheid Museum!

…many of the “Jurassic Politicians” are yet fighting against injustice and awaiting retribution even twenty years gone by, they seem to have been short-changed to the towering giants of the ruling “fat cats”. As they watch in envy, their comrades sitting on the gravy train whilst they watch and applaud shouting, “Amandla Iwetto” on the side-lines.

Many of the younger generation such as myself are witnessing the extinction of a breed of Politicians to which I will now refer to as the “Jurassic Politicians”. Bless them – they had suffered, been imprisoned and deduced to scorn under the Apartheid regime to which many of them could not all fit into parliament.sa

Now sadly many of them are yet fighting against injustice and awaiting retribution even twenty years gone by, they seem to have been short-changed to the towering giants of the ruling “fat cats”. As they watch in envy, their comrades sitting on the gravy train whilst they watch and applaud shouting, “Amandla Iwetto” on the side-lines.

It is a sad occurrence as many who believe that the reason for their “still” impoverished state is due to their white counterpart, or if not “whites” – just anyone who is better off than themselves. So envy and jealousy are now “clouded” with terms such as justice, level playing field and equality.

My generation who is open-minded and have been prepared to embrace a multi-cultural and diverse world sees no colour. We see education as the key to being anything you want to be and do, as opportunities are ample.

However, the Jurassic Politicians attempt to clip away the wings of this generation and therefore results in merit and accolades are not the determining factors of success but corruption and colour of one’s skin, as they themselves lack substance.

Many of the Jurassic Politicians have not finished school, or have kept a proper job yet they have been entrusted with vast amounts of public funds and responsibilities beyond their experiences or skills. I am of the younger generation and I am sure there are many with similar views who say:

  1. We don’t want further divisions against skin colour despite what you may call it BEE or “WEE” it’s not what we want!
  2. We want peace and stability of the economy and welfare. We don’t care about the offences of the past as they are forgiven.
  3. We don’t want to take revenge on crimes committed from a previous era for their descendants to pay now. This is cruel and evil.
  4. We want these “Jurassic Politicians” to grow up and wake up as times have changed!

Sleep well Mr President Zuma!

Sleep well Mr President as you have robbed some child who is watching you and your henchmen when you abuse his/her parents who will soon rise to take your place and justice will soon be replaced for revenge.

red1Europe is currently facing vast numbers of illegal emigrants trying to seek entry into its borders. The media watches the authorities’ every move and are ready to expose upon any breach of immigrants’ human rights.

Meanwhile… in South Africa despite its stance for equality and justice – we see as residents watched from across the street as the Red Ants (security firm- depicted for their red uniforms) went from flat to flat, emerging with their belongings. Smaller items were being thrown from the windows while larger items such as beds, couches, wardrobes and fridges were carried out.

Children and families have been left without shelter and their possession disrespected. Even criminals are treated with greater respect and as the Authorities’ and other African countries watch as their people are being abused whilst they rejoice. Rejoice because many of the illegal immigrants have escaped the tyranny of their leadership.

ants3Just maybe South Africa has brokered some deal to make life difficult for the immigrants so that they may discourage others from leaving Zimbabwe and similar abusive countres? So often Africans talk about the abuses of colonialism yet we can clearly see that Africa can’t even look after its own.

Just maybe this black and white difference were a lie to distract the masses for a few who desired after power grabbing. For the irony in all this is that the “freedom fighting” party is now as bad as the proponents of Apartheid as they watch injustice daily and sometimes are its very source of such hurt.

Sleep well Mr President as you have robbed some child who is watching you and your henchmen when you abuse his/her parents who will soon rise to take your place and justice will soon be replaced for revenge.

Do white people have a future in South Africa?

All these disadvantages are looked upon as retribution, a sort of “karma”, and the punishment for previously abusing the natives. Therefore the common response or sentiment is, “the whites did this to the natives and now it’s the their turn”.

Warning: this article includes graphic images some readers may find disturbing

There is a place in Pretoria called Sunshine Corner, where you will witness first hand of a sympathetic white farmer allowing the homeless to find a home on his land. However the picturesque is all too familiar with poverty – Shacks (informal settlements), dirty stagnant water, rubbish, old furniture and broken down cars. There are more than 100 white squatter camps in South Africa – that number is growing as the weakest and most vulnerable have no choice but to live with no water or electricity. These inhabitants live on two hand-out meals of maize porridge a day. It is estimated that more than 500,000, poor white live in such conditions.SA

There is no social security nor welfare, not mentioning the illiteracy and basic skills of the children growing on such estates, whom now face a handy capped future and as soon as they are of “working age”, many are forced to seek work to merely survive.

There is the other issue of being murdered for those living far higher up the social scale and their possessions are plundered. The newspapers almost on a weekly basis mentions of white farmers being murdered. Approximately more than 6,000 have died since the democracy. Therefore many of the white farmers are fleeing for their safety, which has caused a void in the agricultural production.

All these disadvantages are looked upon as retribution, a sort of “karma”, and the punishment for previously abusing the natives. Therefore the common response or sentiment is, “the whites did this to the natives and now it’s the their turn”. The sanctity and respect for life is avoided lest people should realise thIMG_1707at despite being white or black, people suffer whilst the partisans of ideologies watch from ivory towers. Ubantu sees no colour and therefore as long as South Africa remembers that we are a unique diverse country of beautiful cultures then only I believe that the whites have a future!

Sanctioning Israel? – South African Government double standard & Insane!

Zuma’s government is up to no good and is staging an unnecessary feud with Israel. In doing so they will be disrespecting the large Jewish community in South Africa. Zuma’s government is not concerned about Palestine. Zuma and his government don’t even care about their own people suffering in poverty or the Xenophobic attacks but now wants to show solidarity to matters, which are beyond their intellect.

Leaving religion aside or personal preferences, the recent discussions on South Africa contemplating boycotting Israeli goods are another perfect sign of the poor and hopeless leadership of Zuma’s government. Before I attempt to provide reasons for my conclusion – I believe that these discussions on sanctioning Israel are religiously motivated by troublemakers.

In recent months South Africa has been hospitable to a number of war criminals – responsible for genocide attacks in their own countries and on their own people. Genocide is defined as the systematic elimination of all or a significant part of a racial, ethnic, religious, or national group.

Yet, these bigoted “freedom fighters” of South Africa can’t tell the difference as to their real reason for wanting to sanction Israel despite having no moral grounds given their alliances to war criminals are no different to the battles of Al Bashir, Mugabe and others who have killed their own people. In Israel, Palestine, Sudan and Zimbabwe cost  innocent lives sacrificed by insane ideologies.. Yet South Africa is willing to warmly welcome and protecting these war criminals.

FW de Klerk told Israel Radio yesterday  that comparisons between apartheid South Africa and Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians are “odious”, and that he prefers “dialogue and negotiation as a way to get governments to change their attitudes”.

Zuma’s government is up to no good and is staging an unnecessary feud with Israel. In doing so they will be disrespecting the large Jewish community in South Africa. I don’t believe that  Zuma’s government is concerned about Palestine. Zuma and his government don’t even care about their own people suffering in poverty or the recent Xenophobic attacks.

The fight between the families of Israel (Jacob) and Esau have been in dispute for generations and frankly I don’t have any faith in our government resolving anything! or just maybe it’s just form of corruption opportunities.

Ukushiya Inkolo eceleni noma esikuthandayo, lezi zingxoxo yamuva nge South Africa abacabangela ukudedela izinto Israel kukhona esinye isibonakaliso esiphelele ubuholi abampofu futhi singazi kahulumeni Zuma. Arrested for Spreading their Legs on the Train

Two men from Brooklyn were arrested for “manspreading” it has been revealed, after police found them taking up too much room on the subway.

Two men from Brooklyn were arrested for “manspreading” it has been revealed, after police found them taking up too much room on the subway.

A bylaw arresting men for spreading their legs is insane! Travelling on the train, I come across a varied spectrum of society to which invades my space and peace. We all have sat near that inconsiderate individual blasting their music through their headphones so that the entire carriage is sharing in their “pleasure”.

Or how about an individual who stinks so much that the entire carriage reeks of their odour and possibly yourself as you start the day “afresh”.

We all must have witnessed fights, drunks, or a passionate couple who can’t wait to get a room. These all affect our space yet for some strange reason Brooklyn decided to clamp down on manspreading. I can just imagine how such a bylaw could have been implemented.

The Council possibly was gathering for a meeting and probably did not have enough room on the train so they must have sat next to that man spreading his legs. The gutless Council member , decided to implement a law which satisfies their vengeance.

Why else would such a bylaw exist? We seldom hear of few cases where the police act upon arresting those portraying antisocial behaviours but such petty crimes receiving such eager speedy responses is the strength of our forces. It may be so that the Police are scared to go after “real criminals?”

Are you a Tendering Rogue?

Tendering rogues destroys our economy, mocks our justice system and should be charged for treason. The local Press is the best place to report corruption.

rebateAllocation of tendering areas are agreements in which tendering competitors divide markets among themselves. In such plans, competing companies allocate specific customer or type of customers, products, or territories among themselves. For example, one tenderer will be allowed to sell to, or tender on contracts let by, customers allocated to the other competitors. In other schemes, competitors agree to sell only to customers in certain geographic areas and refuse to sell to, or quote intentionally high prices to, customers in geographic areas allocated to conspirators companies.

However, in countries where corruption is a common problem it tends to disturb the market mechanisms and impede economic development. Corruption in public procurement makes the officials or the politicians in charge purchase goods or services from the best briber, instead of choosing the best price-quality combination. The result may be construction projects several times as costly as necessary, or the acquisition of goods not actually needed.

In 2013-14, for example in South Africa the public sector spent R500-billion on goods, services and construction. At least R30-billion of this was lost to corruption particularly related to tenders.

According to Andvig and Moene (1990), the negative dynamics can be explained as follows: When corruption is rare, the economy is in a “low- corruption-equilibrium”, in which both demand and supply is limited. Looking for someone to bribe is more risky when the bureaucrats hold high ethical standards. With increasing corruption levels, however, the request for bribes becomes easier, so does the proposal of bribes. The moral scruples of corruption as well as the risk of being caught, falls with a higher frequency of corrupt acts. This way corruption may lead the economy into a vicious circle, ending up in kleptocratic circumstances under which corruption is the standard, where honesty is too costly, with a general disregard of law and a higher level of criminal activity, and where each individual is busy making the most for him/herself, feeling no obligations for the country. The situation is often referred to as a corruption-trap. This self-propagating force of corruption may also explain parts of the difference in corruption levels sometimes experienced by quite similar economies. (Andvig and Moene, 1990; Søreide, 2000).

Corruption is rarely a one-sector phenomenon, occurring only in one institution of the state, or at one level of the bureaucratic hierarchy. Where it exists as a problem, it tends to pervade large parts of the state administration. The impairment of judicial systems, the police and investigative institutions are particularly destructive in this respect. Frequent failures to sanction and arrest perpetrators create a general disregard of existing laws. Trying to curb corruption by implementing anti-corruption measures into the procurement procedures can therefore appear optimistic in such a setting.

Reporting corruption

In many cases bribery is detectable only for the colleagues of a corrupt official. The cases difficult to observe for the police may be apparent for the associates. These can, for instance, discover unreasonable argumentation in favour of a certain company. Other people involved in the tender may also come across corruption. A way to report on the cases should therefore be established and published. A problem with anonymous “whistle-blowing”, however, is the risk of dishonest information reported in order to blacken certain persons and companies. Still, anonymous information has to be accepted to obtain knowledge about corruption from people fearing sanctions. In any case, the safety of persons revealing corruption scandals has to be considered.

When corruption is revealed the persons involved should be charged. Sanctions are therefore mainly a matter of the legal system. Either imposed by judges or the bureaucracy, the sanctions should, however, include a system of incentives in which the penalties for the corrupters grow more than proportionally to the price of the public contract.

Racial Profiling Exists and Must Stop!

Racial profiling has been widely criticised when it comes to predicting crime and is actually illegal in certain countries. The basis of racial profiling is the assumption that people of a certain race or ethnic background are more likely to commit certain crimes.

Racial profiling is a method of using racial or ethnic characteristics to predict whether a person is likely to commit a crime. The use of this much criticised method has risen in recent years with the perceived rise in the threat of terrorism.

What Is Racial Profiling?Racialprofiling

Racial profiling has been widely criticised when it comes to predicting crime and is actually illegal in certain countries. The basis of racial profiling is the assumption that people of a certain race or ethnic background are more likely to commit certain crimes. After the 9/11 terrorist attack, the US authorities used racial profiling conclusions to investigate foreign nationals of middle eastern descent. These conclusions were used even if there were no other factors that warranted investigation of these individuals.

Racial Profiling in the UK

Although racial profiling is not officially used in the UK the statistics do show otherwise. Under section 44 of the Terrorism Act 2000, police officers are permitted to stop and search individuals with justifiable cause. According to the statistics provided by the Ministry of Justice some police do seem to be using racial profiling. Asian people were over five times more likely to be stopped and searched than white people. Black people were seven times more likely to be stopped and searched than white people. Only 0.6% of the searches ended in arrests for terrorism offences.

Why Racial Profiling isn’t Working

There have been a number of high profile cases that have highlighted the flaws in racial profiling. Colleen Larose, the middle aged, white, Philadelphian suburban dwelling woman is the antithesis of the typical terrorist profile. Self named ‘Jihad Jane’ was arrested on charges of conspiring with overseas militants to murder and if necessary to become a martyr for radical Islam causes. Colleen Larose is only one of many terrorists who do not fit the usual racial profile. Larose, along with many other white terrorists, is one of the reasons why racial profiling has been seriously undermined when it comes to profiling criminals.

Racial Profiling is Alienating Communities

One of the big dangers of racial profiling is that this method may actually be counter productive. The shocking rise in stop and search incidents of certain ethnic groups will only alienate these communities. Trust in the authorities from black and Asian communities will deteriorate. What could have been a source of information for the police from these communities will no longer exist due to the abuse of racial profiling. One senior counter-terrorism official claimed that community relations achieve results, stop and search does not.

Common Uses of Racial Profiling

Racial profiling isn’t used solely as an anti-terrorism tool. There are many instances of this type of profiling being used ‘unofficially’ throughout society. These can include monitoring of suspected shoplifters in stores and the stop and search of vehicles based solely on the race of the driver. Racial profiling as an airline security measure has been widely used throughout the world. In many cases this type of profiling is used at the customs point to determine who the officials will search. This can be seen as discrimination, and one of the dangers is that while others are searched the real criminals go free.

The Alternative to Racial Profiling

Human rights organisations such as Liberty have stated that racial profiling is not as effective as rational police methods. In January 2010 the Court of Human Rights ruled that section 44 of the Terrorism Act 2000 does violate the right to respect for private life. According to Liberty, the profiling of suspects should be based on actual suspicion and real intelligence. Stopping and searching on the basis of skin colour, name or dress code is not a valid reason.skin

Racial profiling is increasingly coming under fire from many organisations as an ineffective method of crime prediction. There is no doubt that it is routinely being used and abused by authorities such as the police. Since the ruling by the Court of Human Rights in 2010 the government will now have to address this serious issue. If the abuse of racial profiling continues it will no doubt lead to increasing mistrust in the police and government officials.

Stop & Search in South Africa (ILLEGALLY)

These actions to foreigners affect our civil liberties in the long term, erode the rights to our freedoms and destroy our democracy!

How would you have reacted if your property was raided and then you were forced to prove your right to residency? What would happen if a member of your family were unable to do so? How would you feel – if they were arrested?

The Constitution clearly forbids arbitrary search and seizure of your person, your property or possessions. If you are stopped by law enforcement officials they must have a valid belief that you may have been involved in the commission of a crime and that a search warrant would be issued by a Magistrate or Judge if they wish to search you or your vehicle and/or seize your possessions not providing you with these formalities would be a violation of your rights.

Despite South Africa’s painful memories of the Dompass- you think that the officials would be sympathetic given the history on restraining one freedoms based upon their status.

Yet recent news reports mention of the increasing number foreigners in South Africa are being stopped and searched. According to reports approximately 50 people were arrested in Johannesburg for being without valid documents in the country.

The statement release by the spokesman makes no mention that these arrests of these individuals were illegally or not. They were arrested for not having been able to show their documentation.

The raids are a result of foreigners arming themselves in preparation for further violence. The legitimacy of these raids have become questionable.

These actions to foreigners affect our civil liberties, erode the rights to our freedoms and destroy our democracy!

To the murderers of South Africa

Please come to your senses, your father paid a price for you to be free and therefore use your freedom responsibly. We understand your plight and will ask you once again, please throw your weapons into the sea, so you can see the horizon of a better day.

It was Madiba who said, “As I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn’t leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I’d still be in prison.”
We understand that you must be raged by the Dutch, English, Boers and just about everyone who comes to your lands unannounced, to plunder your goods and eat of your food without your consent. This is indeed disrespectful and a violation of your hospitality. Years of abuse under an oppressive government -depriving you of basic benefits which would have made you a better person had left you now in a state of void which bitterness and hatred fills.

You are the children of slaves, servants- the Dompass carriers. Names associated with stupidity and the shamefulness to the colour of your skin has caused you to be the animal you are?
You are now restless, homeless, hopeless and loveless. It’s your turn to take what belongs to you and everyone says its wrong. Its your turn to protect which had being stolen for so long and they say its wrong.

You now have a different name to which is associated to insanity. It was alright when your fathers was beaten, insulted and your wives and daughters raped. One can’t imagine the anguish and pain you must go through to beat a person whether be child, women or man to semi-unconscience state and place a tyre upon them and setting it alight only to watch them awaken and seeing themselves burn. The screams of pleas and begging of sparring their lives makes you the god of the era now has the power of life and dead is in your hands.

Your political ideologies and justification will not silence the cries from which your brothers blood also calls revenge. The Bantu nation is a fearless and courageous nation, they are strong and enduring. God has sparred you to tell of your fathers struggles- there is no further cause of another cycle of bloodshed.
We hear you…you were hungry and no one gave you to eat, you where thirsty and no one gave you to drink, you were homeless and no one took you in…So Mr Murderer has food, water and a house has lost its taste to that of the flesh and blood of your brother?
Please come to your senses, your father paid a price for you to be free and therefore use your freedom responsibly. We understand your plight and will ask you once again, please throw your weapons into the sea, so you can see the horizon of a better day.
